As an externally accredited mediator you can not only mediate disputes within your organisation but also externally. Being a mediation professional is a great place to be, as the need for dispute resolution and changed philosophies around leadership accountability become increasingly critical across all industries and professions.

This course is subject to a fairly robust assessment process - this isn't anything to worry about but it's something to be aware of. We don't pass potential mediators unless you can demonstrate the required skills. It's your reputation and ours! What we will do is provide constant support throughout to ensure you're in the best possible place to pass the assessment. If for any reason you're not successful then we will also support you by offering guidance and a free place on a future assessment day to try again. But enough about not passing - if you have the right approach with people you have every chance of being successful!

Once you've successfully passed this course you will become an Associate of the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) which is another string to your bow as a HR professional. You can then progress to Registered Mediator status and (without any promises) we may even invite you to sit as part of our mediation panel. Following a number of years experience maybe you'll even progress to become a Fellow of the CMC!

Our next course starts on Monday 19th July and runs through to the Friday. There are more details below, including how to book. Please note we also run an internal mediator course should you wish to become an in-house mediator and don't need external accreditation.

Our training is held in the beautiful venue of Eastwood Hall, just a short drive from Nottingham. It's a popular wedding venue, so where better to talk about engagement! Set in over 26 acres of lovely grounds it's also perfect for taking a stroll before, after or even during the training. It's a venue that our Director Pete often attended during his ten years at Rolls-Royce - if it's good enough for them it's good enough for us!

We'll enjoy lovely lunches, and unlimited refreshments throughout each day. For those who are travelling from other parts of the country (or just want some well-deserved time away from the kids) you can also stay over for very reasonable rates bed and breakfast, also making use of other great facilities such as the swimming pool and gym - and don't worry there's no chance of bumping into us during your pre-training workout, unless of course breakfast can be classed as a workout?

No! We deliver many of our actual mediations virtually, and they work really well (see "online mediation" below). However, we firmly believe that actual training in mediation can only be fully effective in person. This is why we're not offering the training online - it compromises quality. We value highly the relationships and networks that form when spending several days together training as mediators.

If you'd like to know more about the services we offer, or you have a question, please don't hesitate to call or email us. Alternatively, complete the enquiry form opposite and we'll respond quickly.
