The fear of role plays is real, but so is our commitment to ensuring you never feel embarrassed or singled out. We've specifically designed our training sessions do that the dread associated with role plays quickly disappears, and people wonder what they'd worried about in the first place.
Nobody in our training is thrown under the bus. Delegates work in teams of three, usually in their own private rooms. This creates a safe space where everyone takes turns in a supportive environment where you can hone your skills without fear of judgement.
Once the small-group sessions are done, we come back together for group coaching. This isn’t a critique-fest, but a constructive discussion about what went well and coaching the group around techniques and sharting stories. It’s about building skills and bolstering confidence, not tearing anyone down.
We take it up a notch by using real-life cases that I've personally mediated. Rest assured, we’ve changed the names and faces to protect the innocent. This gives you a valuable window into the challenges you’ll actually face when mediating, enriching your learning experience in the process.
Despite initial reservations, most people end up genuinely enjoying the role plays. And let’s not forget the fun part! There’s almost always one or two budding thespians who emerge, turning what could be a nerve-wracking experience into an unexpectedly entertaining one - all of our courses are filled with laughter!
If you've been putting off mediator training due to fear of role plays, it's time to put those worries to rest. Our unique, humane approach makes the learning process not just bearable, but enjoyable. If you still have reservations, give us a call.
Don't let the fear of role plays hold you back from joining our revolution to resolution. Master the practical skills you need and discover that role plays aren't something to dread, but a vital step in becoming the mediator you were destined to be.
WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
