This is so critical - we can either do the minimum that the law requires and tick boxes, or we can do things to a much higher standard. We're affecting people's lives by dismissing them due to redundancy - we should do everything we can to make this the best it possibly can for those people.
I've been made redundant twice - once I was supported brilliantly, the other time there was no support at all from the company - it makes a huge difference. Remember we're dealing with people, not commodities or numbers - as leaders we can make a massive difference!
